2nd hand smoke: The presence of a smoker in the household increases the risks of crib death & doubles the frequency of respiratory illness including bronchitis and ear infections. Smoking in front of the child triples the frequency of these issues. Smokey clothes on a non-smokers will still affect a small infant.
