I would recommend : You see a foot doctor. Often times in addition to a dermatological problem a biomechanics etiology may be present. So if the toe is too long there may be increased friction or shearing forces on the digit causing the problem. A foot doctor can decide if ellipsing a skin wedge or perhaps removing some bone to shorten the toe can help.

Not so fast...: You know what is said about assuming. It could very well be extra skin. Now, you need to find out if it caused from friction of from perhaps, a virus infection (wart). The treatments are not the same and in fact, if it is a wart, your clipping it could actually be causing it to spread. To remove all doubt, have it examined by either your own physician of a Healthtap specialist.
