Bp varies: Blood pressure does vary at different times of the day and is affected by emotions, certain foods or beverages,nicotine and activity level. Do any of these factors appear to play a role in your diastolic spike in the evening? Since your diastolic elevation is not sustained, your physician may not recommend starting medication at this time. Keep monitoring your pressure as you are doing .
