Not Ludwig's angina: Picture is different, the swelling went down by gravity not likely to be a spread of infection to the lower jaw. Keep taking the antibiotic, see your dentist soon. Revisit your doctor/ER if not improving, dose adjustment or another antibiotic may be needed, good luck

Facial Swelling: As the infection is brought under control, gravity takes over and the infection makes it's way earthward through the facial muscles. You're not out of the woods yet... the antibiotics did not fix your teeth, they only started controlling the infection. Please see a dentist ASAP for treatment, otherwise the infection will come back with a vengeance.
