All benign: These names refer to disordered growth of breast tissue that is frequent but benign. The breast is made of stromal and glandular tissue components; stromal includes fat and fibrous/scar-like material while glandular is the tissue that produces secretion. Both can be increased diffusely (fibroadenosis; fibrocystic change) or locally (fibroadenoma).
