A member asked:

What are the risks of getting an mra when a patient has renal failure resulting from diabetes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nephrogenic: Systemic sclerosis, a very rare fibrosing disease of the body, can occur if MRI contrast is given to patients with severe renal disease. Mra done without contrast does not pose any additional risk to a patient with diabetes and renal disease.
