Disc dessication: is an extremely common degenerative change of intervertebral discs. The incidence climbs with age, and to a large degree a gradual desiccation is a 'normal' part of disc aging. There is no treatment of the disc per se. If you have pain from degenerative disc disease, treatment is generally conservative and could involve pain control, exercise, activity modification, or physical therapy.
