I had a colonoscopy 2 months ago. they removed a benign polyp but the last 3 weeks i have had a lot of rectal bleeding. could this be from the surgery?

Rectal bleeding. : It would be quite unusual for you to start bleeding five weeks after a colonoscopy with biopsy. If it's red blood, this could be a hemorrhoid or anal fissure, especially if nothing other than that benign polyp was found at colonoscopy.
