Speed vs Rhythm: Heart rate refers to the number of heartbeats in a minute. Average resting heart rates in healthy people can range from the 50s to 70s. Heart rhythm refers to the presence or absence of regularity of the heart beats. Abnormal rhythms can cause periodic additional beats or continuous irregularity, which can be felt as 'skips', light-headedness, chest discomfort, weakness, or be asymptomatic.
