Clear liquid=blood: plasma without RBCs or lymphatic fluid. The external flow helps keep out, wash out bacteria. Cleaning with soap & water every few hours best; possibly also topical antibiotic reapplied after washing may help. Best: keep area dry (bacteria cannot grow without water), bandage to soak up moisture; replace as soon as wet, keep visually checking for possible infection & get exam worthy your trust.
