Cloudy lens: A cataract is a natural clouding of the lens inside the eye that you should not have to worry about until you are 60 years old or greater unless you have had an injury or medication that speeds up its growth. The removal today is a 10 minute operation that usually involves a plastic replacement lens, implant.

Lens alteration: The natural lens of the eye is a delicate biochemical balance maintaining transparency. Overs the years this will diminish and a cataract is seen preventing effective focusing. Remove is by surgical ultrasonic fragmenting removing this and replacing it with an artificial lens. This is done painlessly under local anesthesia and is highly successful.
