Usually start first: First start at 8 pm and see how it effecs you. Sometimes the dosing is every 8 hours. Sometimes it makes you too sleepy to take it 3 times a day. If it does you can try lower dosing or even take 1/ 2 the table. They also sell 5 mg tablets.

Typically 6 hours: Typically a three times a day medication refers to your awake hours rather than an entire 24 hours. It is usually every 6 hours such as 8a, 2p, and 8 pm, for example. The medication you are asking about can make you sleepy, so some people can only take it at night before they go to sleep or they can try a reduced dosage.
