Flank pain: Flank pain PLUS cough--- sounds like CHEST INFECTION however since u just had UTI, I would test urine again --- to make sure it's clean

Flank pain: 20 year old gentleman with past medical history of a UTI now with recurrent flank pain and cough. You should see your physician. If you took a 3 day course of antibiotics your UTI symptoms may resolve, however your physician should know that you have a recurrence of flank pain. Coughing can cause musculoskeletal flank pain however a full exam will determine the proper course to take. Good luck.
