It takes a while: For pneumonia symptoms to get better. I would not expect a great improvement on day 4 of antibiotics. Are you sleeping with a cool mist humidifier? Guiafenesin with dextromorphan will help the cough as will honey in water with lemon juice. If not improving any after 7 days go back to dr.
