Painful knees: 58 year old lady s/p meniscal repair R knee now with pain after workouts and fatigue. Stay calm and make the following adjustments. Switch your workouts to those that are less weight bearing such as recumbent or stationary bike, water exercise. Change your diet- consider using a foreman grill or nuwave oven and eliminating fat from your cooking. Continue to exercise and see your MD for checkup.

Expect swelling x6wk: Swelling from arthroscopic management of a meniscal tear (repair or debride0 may not subside for at least 6 weeks, and perhaps longer if there is other concomitant damage that needs to recuperate and/or if you are doing to much to soon. Ask your treating physician's office what to expect in your specific knee.
