No.: If colon cancer is advanced or metastatic, it can show up on abd echo. If colon cancer or hemorrhoids bleed, FOBT can be positive. CEA and CA 19-9 have no place in detection of colon cancer, hemorrhoids, or polyps. CEA is sometimes useful in following colon cancer for any possible spread.
