I'm 9 weeks pregnant. i was on citalopram before i fell pregnant, but stopped because i was scared it would harm the baby. can i go back on it safely?

Depression: Each case of pregnancy and depression must be evaluated individually. The known risk of untreated depression must be weighed against the theoretical risk of medication exposure. For some medication can be stopped. For severe depression the medication can be continued.
