Root Canal: After a pulpotomy, the sooner the better to have the root canal completed. You should be alright for a few weeks but see if you can get in earlier if they have a change in their schedule.

After Pulpotomy: You should be fine for a few weeks, although there is no way to be certain of that. If you start to have discomfort or pain on that tooth then let the dentist know and ask to be seen sooner or consider going to another dentist if you can't be seen within a reasonable time frame.
