Sore throat: Sore throat/sore back of tongue could be caused by a number of conditions, including infection, rhinitis, aphthous ulcers, tonsillar stones and gastroesophageal reflux. A primary care physician, an ear nose and throat physician or an allergist could help by taking a complete history and performing a physical examination.
