10 weeks: Faces is fully form at the end of 8 weeks and the palate is completely form for another 2 weeks (10 weeks total). At the beginning of 7th week the primary palate are formed. A pair of palatal shelves are developed from the inner aspect of the maxillary process from each side, destined to fuse in the midline to complete the palate. This part is the secondary palate. Fusion is from front to back.

Around 6 weeks: The palate forms from three sections that "drop into place" between 6 to 8 weeks gestation. Amazingly, most of the vital organs and processes are also form within this time period!
