D3 a helper for calcium absorption from intestines & bone formation, small role muscle strength & immune system function (poorly understood) & ? slight role in depressed mood. To my awareness, no role in Beta cell function, the cells which make & secrete insulin+amylin (always in a fixed ratio) or Alpha cell function to make & secrete glucagon, much less other glcose regulations
