Can you please explain why women with pcos and people with type 2 diabetes take the same meds?

Meformin: Some patient with pcos have Insulin resistance relating to higher Insulin levels. The medications for diabetes will lower glucose and Insulin levels. This can improve their chances of ovulating spontaneously or with medications.
