Diet and Medication: The typical treatment is a Reflux diet, which consists of low acid foods, avoiding all citrus, caffeinated foods, fried foods, carbonated drinks, etc. Also eating smaller meals with increased frequency. I also typically recommend medication for 3-4 months, which would be a Proton Pump Inhibitor (ie- Nexium, (esomeprazole) Prevacid, Protonix)
