Laceration: needs to be treated by your doc. Yes, the child may need stitches or butterfly bandage and antibiotics. You don't want infection. Please go to doc. Peace and good health.

Yes: Gaping wounds will require closure.Whether this is stitches or "glue" depends on location/preference of the doc.Whether it requires any antibiotics also depends on the type of wound, how "dirty" it is. Sometimes a good wound wash out will eliminate the need for any.
