I have low metabolism and my doctor is no good. wonder if anyone here have suggestions. levaxine makes it worse. tsh from 1.79 to 6.75 in 3 years.

Low thyroid: is indicated by an elevated TSH. certainly that will lower metabolism and indicates more thyroid medicine is needed. Furthermore, until the thyroid level is adequate all other treatments (exercise for example) will likely fail.

Need more: B"sd TSH level (most sensitive blood test for thyroid status) has gone from normal to elevated. This means low thyroid hormone levels. The levothyroxine is not making it worse, more likely your thyroid IS getting worse and you need a hgher replacement dose over time. Many possible other considerations can come up, available to discuss in detail.
