Yes and No: There is a bit of MRI taught to all physicians as part of their schooling. However, Pain Management Doctors and most Doctors avoid interpreting MRI studies due to their lack of intensive education in this area. Most Doctors are simply relaying the MRI results found by a Board Certified Radiologist to the patient.
