A member asked:

Hello, what would you recommend for the most effective otc treatment for folliculitis on the buttocks?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

OTC-may not work: You can try using a 50/50 combination of Neosporin(triple antibiotic ointment) and 1% hydrocortisone cream mixed together and applied with a glove or large Q-tip: may help a bit; however, if not improving within 3 days, see your physician for antibiotic therapy.
