Watch out for Hives: Hives usually indicate an allergic reaction of some kind. If you have hives on your face, you need to be evaluated for swelling in the mouth and back of the throat. If you saw your doctor today -great. Hopefully they planned to do something about it (antihistamines or even steroids) to shut down the allergic process. If you have doubts, or any worsening-I would go to the ER. This is quite serious.
