He's probably right: In kids this is usually a viral thing. If she started a new medication, like an antibiotic, it could be that. It's usually not considered a chronic problem until she's had it for 4 to 6 weeks. If it's bothering her try using Claritin (loratadine) first, then zyrtec liquid.
