Took 9 courses antibiotics last year for chronic sinusitus. finally getting ct scan, but doc rxed antibiotic before scan. is this common before scan?

I presume while you: were in the office discussing pursuing the CT scan, the doctor felt your recurrent symptoms were severe enough to warrant another course of treatment. There would be no need to take antibiotics prior to a non-invasive sinus CT scan if you were having no current symptoms. In fact, easier to see problems on CT if NOT on antibiotics. Hope this helps.
