Have doc remove wax: Impacted ear wax should be removed by your physician or E N T doc. Do not put foreign bodies into your ear. You probably pushed the wax further into the canal, thus decreasing your ability to hear.

See your Dr: This is a common! Patients have an ear canal with wax blocking most of the canal - in an attempt to remove the wax it ends up getting pushed further down the canal blocking the eardrum completely! Fortunately you didn't see blood, so the bobby pin probably didn't cause any damage! I tell patients never put anything smaller than your elbow in your ear canal! A Dr can remove the wax safely for you.
