A member asked:

Is it normal for the ent doctor to determine results of ct scan?

A doctor has provided 1 answer
Dr. Gerald Mandell answered

Specializes in Nuclear Medicine

Not written report: CT exams are usually interpreted by a trained radiologist. Referring dr usually gets report and sometimes the images from study. Specialists can be very familiar with radio graphic findings related to their specialty. However radiologist is trained to look at all structures on study and not just ENT structures. Sometimes narrow approach overlooks somethings.
