Heart and diabetes: I don't fully understand your "prick feeling" but you must see your primary doctor about this. I have been an Endocrinologist for decades and still don't understand the term "pre-diabetic". Either you have diabetes or you don't. Please let me know.

Good news no MI: Time to establish a relationship with a primary care physician instead of just going to urgent care. The doctor can take a full history and examine you and order appropriate tests. The prick may be secondary to Gastrointestinal symptoms like Heartburn or a muscle strain or manifestation of a panic disorder.
