My wife's heart will go irregular (pausing randomly), weakness, "freaky feeling", etc. usually food (esp protein) will help; does not have diabetes.

She needs evaluated: This is not normal. She could be having extra beats or random arrhythmias. Can be due to electrolyte (sodium/potassium) abnormalities, or a valve problem, or an electrical disturbance. She needs to discuss this with her doctor for appropriate workup. It could be nothing, but i strongly suggest she not ignore this. Good luck.
