A member asked:

Is it safe to put vaseline inside the nose to relieve dryness?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Oh, absolutely: A very small dab of petroleum jelly (Vaseline), applied to both sides of the septum (middle part of the nose) just barely inside the nostrils is the best way to relieve seasonal dryness which contributes to recurrent nose bleeds. Don't use a lot and don't go too deep! At night before bed is a good time to apply it.
