Is there something other than vaseline to help with irritated skin on nose?

Depends: What is causing irritated skin on the nose? Sun burn? Abrasion? Use of a treatment cream or scrub? Eczema? Rosacea? Vaseline has the advantage of being "bland", and is helpful as a barrier, however it is not the best option for each of the conditions noted above.
