Yes: Nexium is the brand for esomeprazole. I had incidentally patients that felt better with a specific brand. If prescribed will have to be "dispense as written" so that the pharmacy will not try to replace with the generic.

I have acid relfux ( acid coming up). PPIs ( Prilosec, Nexium, and Prevacid) give dizziness and swelling in my throat. Doc won't put me on prescription. Zantac and Pepcid isn't strong enough. No h.pylori. Should I take ppi regardless of side effects?

My son had a second biopsy (an upper endoscopy) and is still has inflammation after 90 days of nexium (esomeprazole). The doc still isn't sure what's going on.
