What to if i am going to john hopkins hospital to get thyroid tested - what is the test?

Good doctor: There are many "thyroid tests". More important than a specific test is the judgement and insight of the doctor ordering the tests, so that he gets the right ones, and interprets them properly. Hopefully you will get that from johns hopkins.

Depends: What are your symptoms? Have you weight loss, sweating and a racing heart? Or are you sluggish with no energy. The testing will include thyroid hormone levels, scans of your thyroid and depending upon the symptoms heart analysis and brain scans.
