Thyroid nodule: Thyroid nodules are very common and most of them are benign and need no interventions, a biopsy recommended for nodules larger than 1 cm that are solid, mixed cystic-solid nodules that are larger than 1.5cm need biopsy if they look suspicious. Sometimes the doctors decide to do thyroid scan to determine the next step. I'm not sure which one you have been offered but relax and air for the result.

More information: What further testing is needed at hospital? A biopsy? This is commonly done to evaluate whether or not the nodule is cancerous. The risk is very low, about 5% for the nodule.

Don't know: Hi. Not enough information. There's not much you need to do for a thyroid nodule in a hospital, other than a Nuclear Medicine thyroid scan & uptakes (for a hyperthyroid nodule), or surgery to remove the thyroid or a piece of it (to check for, or treat, thyroid cancer). Sorry to be guessing, but more information would help. Good luck!
