Referral: Please ask your current counselor for recommendations and referrals for a new counselor that can be as trustworthy and therapeutic as your current one. If your counselor cannot help, please talk with your primary care doctor for further guidance on obtaining a new therapist. It is important you keep continuity of your care.

It is painful to: let go of any relationship, especially one that is therapeutic and which you probably thought would be much longer lasting. Having said that, consider trying to re-frame the situation so that you can utilize it to empower you so that you will become stronger and take the risk to enter into your next therapist relationship. Please seek a referral and gently but firmly continue on w/ healing.
