Counseling : In order for counseling to be most effective, everything must be talked about up to and including the reasons for being hesitant to talk about certain things. Your therapist is there to help you get better, not judge you.

Communication is key: You are wasting your time and money if you do not mention the things that are going wrong in your life.It doesn't matter if you like "not eating" or not.To the degree that such a behavior is part of your problem, it must be part of your work.

Disclose everything: In order for therapy to be effective you must allow your therapist to help you. If you are experiencing grief and still restricting your food intake then you are probably using your eating disorder to manage your emotions. As a result, you will not really be engaging in therapy which may lead to frustration part of both you and your therapist.
