Ultrasound said mildy prominent thyroid, does this mean thyroid is enlarged? ct scan said thyroid is not enlarged. why the difference?

No good reason: Ultrasound is a user dependent test and the images are generated by the tech AND the machine. It is frought with all kinds of variability and error. Sounds like your thyroid is probably fine.
