Got an ultrasound on my neck for an enlarged node i've had for 6 years. they found a 7mm mass but not sure if it was a node or not.. going for a ct scan. if not node what else could this be?

?Too much testing?: I do not think that a node present for 6 years is reason for imaging tests like Ultrasound and CT scans. Unless you or your doctor feel a lump on examination, there is little reason for doing such tests as their finding can be misleading and the doctors can go for a wild goose chase which carries further risks to you as a patient. Unless your node/ tumor is over one CM in size it is not of concern
