Yes. : Your sugar is unlikely to drop less than 65 if you are on Metformin only . Try to change exercise time to the afternoon . You should consider stress test to check your heart if you did not get one lately . Good luck with your excecise

Yes: Exercise in general is good, especially in someone with diabetes. It is just you want to be aware of hypoglycemia which also can be dangerous. You might want to exercise at a time during the day when your sugars are higher like after you have eaten. I would also let your doctor know, perhaps he can lower your medication, or maybe even stop it.
