Symptom severity: I believe there can be a biological factor in mental disorders. It depends on the severity of the symptoms of those mental disorders, however. Optimally, I believe that a combination of medication for biological symptoms combined with psychotherapy for emotional issues is generally the best approach to improve overall mental health functioning.
