Premed courses?: Sure that is very acceptable degree but you also have to have taken premed courses and shown that you can do well in them.

A BS in Psychology: can be a good degree for med school. Make sure to take as may science courses w/in that. Statistics, anatomy & physiology, etc. are pretty much standard these days. My own nephew did just that and is in his 4th year med school at the moment. Peace and good health.

Meh.: All the sources I've seen say there are a lot of other more important features to being a good applicant. 1) GPA and other hard metrics 2) school 3) Genki. Japanese term encompassing passion/energy/drive/personal energy. Demonstrable by self-directed activities of real worth. I'm pretty sure my father pulled personal strings and did some low-level bribing, but that's not generally applicable.
