Are juvenile mental health records sealed right after you turn 18 years old?

No.: Juvenile mental health records are secure in the same way that adult mental health records and are bound by patient privacy through hipaa. However, with appropriate consent, juvenile mental health records are still attainable.

Agree with Dr. Bone: Legal and Health Records are two different matters. Access to medical records is often necessary for continuity of medical care. However, this does remain protected health care information.
