Buttock asymmetry: Be sure which is abnormal, the big or the small one. One or all of the three gluteal muscle is shrunken or the other hip bone is abnormal (rare.) If you stand on one leg on the smaller side the other hip should drop but not when you stand on the fuller side. Look for a ruptured disc, a mild case of polio or a rare spinal curvature low down. If none of the above, with progression see a neurologist
