Apples and Oranges: The tests are complementary. BaSw lets us look at motility directly and look for strictures, masses and the lining of the esoph. Endoscopic pH and pressure tests give info about different physical aspects of the esoph. Together the tests give a pretty good eval. for GERD and LPR. Many ENTs also do laryngoscopy to see the chords directly for evidence of inflammation from reflux.
