Not HIV, but see MD: HIV is a thousand times less common than garden variety viral pharyngitis, and heterosexually transmitted HIV is extremely rare in eastern Canada, especially after only one exposure. And HIV wouldn't result in balanitis. And most balanitis isn't an STD, although you should be checked for STDs other than HIV. See a doctor, but don't lose sleep over the possibility of HIV -- extremely unlikely.
